Indigenous Relations
Rights and title first. Partnership grounded in UNDRIP, built to hold for the life of a project.

What We Do
We advise proponents and Indigenous governments on partnership, consultation, and consent, grounded in UNDRIP, the recognition of Aboriginal rights and title, and the federal and provincial Declaration Acts that now shape how projects are assessed and approved in Canada.
Rights and Title
We start from rights and title as legal and constitutional fact, not as a stakeholder interest to be managed.
Consent by Design
Free, prior, and informed consent treated as something you build toward from the beginning, not test for at the end.

We support Nations and proponents in building structured partnerships grounded in rights and title, UNDRIP principles, and long-term alignment.
Key Support Areas
Every Nation is different — its governance, its treaty or title position, its priorities, its history with industry. There is no template. We help clients understand the specific relationship in front of them, and build engagement that respects it and lasts.
Title & Treaty
Assessment of rights, title, and treaty context, and what each means for a project’s design and pathway.
Consultation Record
Consultation records, engagement logs, and management plans that satisfy regulators and hold up on review.
Human Environment
Socio-economic baselines, human health, and cumulative effects work prepared to the standard assessment authorities expect.
Our Approach
We support clients through consultation, negotiation, mediation, and agreement-making — impact benefit and participation agreements, traditional land use planning, and the long relationships behind them. Our technical work integrates western science with Indigenous knowledge, using GBA+, cumulative effects, and regional assessment.

Indigenous inclusion is not a risk-management exercise. UNDRIP, rights, and title are now the ground on which Canadian projects are built.
